He is a big boy who enjoys listening to his favorite tunes on Spotify and playing on his iPad when he's at home. He LOVES vehicles of all kinds but is partial to Zambonis and bulldozers. He also loves tire swings and sledding. On quiet days, he enjoys having someone read his books to him and is a huge fan of Caillou and Dr Seuss books. Our son will mirror what he senses, meaning that, when he trusts someone, his defenses come down and he is a happy-go-lucky boy but, when he is unsure about someone or feels lost, confused or unsafe, he will engage in fight or flight behavior. So, working with him is best suited to someone patient who has experience buddying with someone who has autism and willing to take the time to get to know him. |
