Worker's Role : To take client out in the community, i.e. swimming at community center, to gym, pottery class, trampoline class, outdoor walking or at the mall to walk (physical and needs exercise), Christian music store to listen to music.
Worker to be very positive and enthusiastic, genuinely wanting to be with client as he will know the difference as he is very attuned to people's feelings and attitudes towards him.

Worker's Role : Need a Female worker to meet K at home after school. Help her prepare an after school snack and ensure she eats what is prepared. General social activities (playing a board game, looking at online recipes together, etc.). Possibly would have her sister at home as well, who does not want to stay alone.

Description of Individual : My son is 24 yrs. old and has a great sense of humour and is very ambitious. he likes music, making his own lyrics, rapping and singing. He has taken an interest in making jewellery in the past year. He likes to draw and paint. He attends CMHA when they have activities that he enjoys. He would like to go more often but is fearful of walking by himself. He is legally blind in his left eye and can only see 4 feet away in his right eye. He has diabetes and is able to give himself injections but cannot see to attach the needle and has difficulty placing the testing strip in the glucose monitor and placing the lancet (small needle) in the lancing device. He also has been diagnosed with the following: learning disabilities, slow processing, ADHD and Schizophrenia Psychoses. He is slow to get moving and is easily distracted by everything.
Worker's Role : The workers role would be to accompany him to CMHA and swimming when needed for activities. Provide postive communication opportunities, safety, reassurance and communication of surroundings when in the community.

Description of Individual : We have a 12 year old son who is diagnosed with high functioning autism spectrum disorder and OCD in addition to having behavioural challenges in emotional regulation.
Worker's Role : We are looking for someone who can provide assistance with both before and after school routines such as assisting with homework, getting ready for school etc. in additional to coming in on the occasional day on the weekend to give some personal relief for the parents. Also to provide the parents with tips/advice on how to handle his emotional breakdowns before they escalate.
