General Information : Empower Simcoe's Family Relief Program is designed to assist families who care for a family member with a disability by creating greater opportunities for all family members to live actively and participate in community activities and allowing parents/guardians time for themselves. Families may connect with registered CHAP (Community Helpers for Active Participation) who advertise on the site. They can negotiate to provide the following services:

•Over-night services providing support in the person's home or in the CHAP's home.

•Daily services providing support for vacations or longer term needs

Individuals who are interested in providing respite/direct support services for adults and/or children with disabilities may register with the CHAP program on the Simcoe supportyourway.ca website.
