Family/Individual Information

The Worker Database is a listing of qualified, experienced workers and families seeking support. Many Private Support Workers in our database are students or recent graduates who join www.respiteservices.com to gain valuable work experience. Private Support Workers vary in experience, skill sets, and availability, and should not be considered trained therapists. Our database is updated regularly as we recruit new workers and families find successful matches.

Private Support Workers are suitable for part-time parent/caregiver relief, in the family home or in the community. This may include one to one support in the community, providing support to your loved one in your home while you get things done, out of home respite stays, assisting families to implement recommendations made by qualified therapists (e.g. Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist).  Each respite situation looks different for every family, based on what works best for you.

Private Support Workers are not employees of respiteservices.com- families accessing the database employ the Worker directly. All Private Support Workers have submitted an application outlining their experience, interests and availability, as well as a resume which are reviewed during a personal orientation to www.respiteservices.com. Each Worker submits a clear, current Police Check, has at least two references available, and has attended an orientation session to www.respiteservices.com.

There is no charge for the use of the Worker Database.
